NEW JERSEY: NEW MEGAN’S LAW GUIDELINES ORDERED
According to the Associated Press, the notification process for Megan's Law has been threatened to be shut down by a federal judge if prosecutors cannot put tight controls on who receives the information. He has ordered New Jersey to rework its sexual offender notification law. State
Attorney General John Farmer was ordered to rewrite the law and all sex offender notifications were to stop. It was agreed to delay the implementation so Farmer would have a chance to appeal.
