Police: Teen Stabbed Outside of Smith Haven Mall in Lake Grove

The victim was hospitalized with injuries that are not considered life-threatening.

A 16-year-old boy was stabbed Saturday outside of the Smith Haven Mall in Lake Grove, according to police.

Authorities say it happened around 8 p.m. after the teen attempted to intervene in an argument between a small group of people on the sidewalk.

The victim was hospitalized with injuries that are not considered life-threatening. Another 16-year-old boy was also treated for minor injuries sustained during the altercation.
