QUEENS TEACHER IN SEX STING (Internet ‘teen’ was a cop)

Alan Schaefer, a 43 year old Queens Middle School teacher at MS 67 in Little Neck, was arrested after he showed up for what he believed would be a rendezvous with a 13 year old girl, bringing his 14 month old son with him.  He arrived outside a Greenwich Village building Wednesday to meet the girl he had exchanged lewd messages with on an America Online chat room.  He grabbed the hand of the girl, who turned out to be a baby-faced female cop, and walked her into the building.  He has been charged with attempting to disseminate indecent material to a minor, a felony, and attempted sexual abuse and child endangerment, both misdemeanors.
