Tracy's mother dropped her first grader off at Bertha Heid Elementary School inThornton.  But school officials reported that Tracy never attended school that day.  Herbody was found around 5 pm about 30 feet from a road off Boulder County 119.  Next to Tracy'sbody were her school supplies.  Her mother didn't realize her daughter hadn't made it into theschool building until she went to pick up Tracy from school.  Authorities ruled that the girldied between 10 am and noon.  The official cause of death was asphyxiation.
