COLONIE, NY (WRGB) — Police in Colonie say they have arrested a man who worked as a youth soccer coach and mentor, accused of having sexual contact with a minor.
Investigators say 29 year old Amgad Abdalla, also known as "Coach Ali" was arrested after a police investigation.
He's charged with criminal sex act, sexual abuse, and endangering the welfare of a child.

Police say he was active in a local youth soccer program, The Albany Warriors. The Warriors are an independent youth (u19) soccer club, who are financially sponsored by the Ballston Spa Soccer Club.
Police say he does not coach for any other teams or interaction with members of the Ballston Spa teams.
The Ballston Spa Soccer Club (BSSC) reports it was made aware of Amgad S. Abdalla arrest by the Colonie Police Department and remains engaged to ensure that there are no impacts to our club and its members.
To date, the investigation involving the Albany Warriors has revealed that no Ballston Spa Soccer Club teams, coaches or players, were involved. The Ballston Spa Soccer Club is deeply saddened by this event and will continue to support the Albany Warrior players.
