Israel Weingarten, a 59 year old rabbi, who was convicted of sexually molesting his daughterand then relentlessly grilling her on the witness stand was sentenced to 30 years in prison. He was hit with the extra hefty term as punishment for making a spectacle at trial by acting as hisown lawyer and cross-examining the victim and other relatives.
