Convicted sex offenders wouldn't be allowed to live near schools or daycare centers underlegislation that passed the House on Tuesday. The bill bars convicted sex offenders from livingwithin 1,000 feet of any school or daycare center and also requires sex offenders to update theirphotographs and personal information every two years. It requires all sex offenders to remain onthe state's registry for 20 years. Under current law, some are removed from the registry after 10years.
