John Mark Karr, 41, was returned to California to face five charges of child pornography possession pending since April 2001.  Prosecutors decided to pursue the charges after Karr surfaced in September 2006 as a suspect in the JonBenet Ramsey killing.  No evidence was found to connect him to the killing.

On October 5, Karr left jail after a judge dismissed the child pornography charges against him, saying prosecutors said they didn't have enough evidence to take the case to trial.
