COPS: BANKER TRIED TO LURE ‘TEEN’

Steven Holman, a 49 year old mortgage banker from Plainview, was arrested on April 1 afterSuffolk police said he sent a video over the Internet of a woman performing oral sex on him to aperson he believed was a 13 year old girl, then tried to coax the teen into meeting him in aparking lot in Lake Grove for a sexual rendezvous. The only person waiting for him was a Suffolkdetective who had been posing as a child online.

Holman, of 47 Country Drive, is a married father of two and a partner at First Rate Capital inMelville. He is charged with first degree attempted disseminating indecent material to a minor. Hewas arraigned and was remanded to Suffolk County jail in lieu of $5,000 bail.

Detectives began investigating him about six weeks ago after a complaint that a person with thescreen name MTG-DOG2001 was sexually propositioning children over the Internet. A detective thenbegan engaging Holman in chat rooms, presenting himself as a shy but curious seventh-grade girl andthe conversation very quickly became sexually graphic.
