COPS: MAN KEPT LONG ISLAND TEENS AS PROSTITUTES

Woodolph Romeo, a 25 year old Long Island man, was charged yesterday with forcing two girls, ages 13 and 14, into prostitution for three years in Queens, repeatedly beating and raping them and forcing one to have his name tattooed on her arm.  Both girls were runaways who Romeo forced to work as prostitutes in an area near Kennedy Airport known as The Track since October 2001.  The girls were picked up by customers and forced to perform sex acts for $40 to $100 on as many as 15 men a night at cheap area hotels.  He was charged with kidnapping, promoting prostitution, assault, rape and performing a criminal sexual act.  If he is convicted he could face up to 25 years in prison.
