David McBride was 15 in the summer of 2018 when court documents say he committed a series of sex crimes on two different days.
Four women were victimized, prosecutors say.
McBride, now 17, initially was prosecuted as a juvenile, but last year his case was moved to adult court. He pleaded guilty in Hamilton County Common Pleas Court to charges including rape and attempted rape, and was sentenced Tuesday to 18 years in prison.
The first incident happened the afternoon of July 19, 2018 on a residential street in Roselawn. A female mail carrier saw McBride exposing his genitals and engaging in sexual activity. McBride – while still exposing himself – approached the mail carrier, “requested oral sex from her and attempted to enter her vehicle,” court documents say.
She was able to lock the door, and McBride fled.
According to court documents, about an hour later, McBride went to the parking lot of an apartment complex half a mile away on Summit Road. He held a gun to a woman’s head and forced her to perform oral sex on him, the documents say. McBride fled when someone walked out of the building.
One 911 caller described seeing a male in the parking lot, “looking into vehicles, watching women and pulling out his genitals,” court documents say.
Then, shortly after 10 p.m., court documents say McBride attacked another woman in the same parking lot. She was getting out of her vehicle, when McBride pointed a gun at her and ordered her back inside the vehicle. She complied, and once they were inside, the documents say McBride demanded she perform oral sex on him.
“The victim was able to push (McBride’s) firearm to the side and flee the vehicle,” court documents say.
Four days later, on July 23, 2018, prosecutors say a woman was in the parking lot of an Evanston apartment building and saw McBride in the parking lot, exposing himself. According to court documents, the woman entered the building, and was walking to her apartment when McBride grabbed her buttocks.
She told McBride she was going to call the police, and he fled, the documents say.
He was arrested two days later, documents say.
McBride previously was charged as a juvenile in 2016 with public indecency and gross sexual imposition in three different incidents, documents say.
