FORMER FIFTH-GRADE TEACHER PLEADS GUILTY TO ONE COUNT OF RECEIPT OF CHILD PORNOGRAPHY

PFMLIT CHILD PORNOGRAPHY, General, SEX OFFENDERS AND OTHERS IN POSITIONS OF TRUST, TEACHERS SCHOOL STAFF


Victor Scott McPeak, Jr., 28, of Surprise, Arizona, pleaded guilty yesterday to one count ofReceipt of Child Pornography, a class C felony offense.  McPeak is a former fifth grade schoolteacher who was charged in March 2008.  the maximum penalty for Receipt of Child Pornographyis a mandatory minimum of five years, and a maximum of 20 years, in prison.  Per the terms ofthe plea agreement, McPeak faces between seven and 14 years in federal prison followed by a term ofup to lifetime supervised release.
