FORMER PROSECUTOR PLEADS IN CHILD PORN CASE
Albert L. Boudreau, 59, pleaded guilty in federal court Tuesday to reduced charges of possessing and smuggling child pornography. The former Vermilion Parish prosecutor handled juvenile cases as assistant district attorney in Abbeville between 1979 and 1991. He entered a plea
after working out a deal with federal prosecutors in which he pleaded to only two of the original 13 counts in the indictment to which he had pleaded innocent last November. Originally he faced a conspiracy to sexually exploit children charge. He faces five years in prison on each
count.
