FORMER SCHOOL PRINCIPAL SENTENCED IN CHILD PORN CASE

Steven R. Davidson, 37, of Bensalem, Pa., a former school principal, pleaded guilty in a child pornography case.  He was sentenced to three years probation and ordered to surrender his license to teach in New Jersey.  He was also ordered to pay a $1,000 fine and undergo mandatory sexual evaluation and counseling and is barred from seeking public employment in the state.  A school employee looking for a file in Davidson's office found photographs and illustrations of children having sex.  He was arrested in February 1998 and charged with child endangerment.  None of the children were from the school.  Prosecutors agreed to drop the more serious child endangerment charge in exchange

for the plea.
