GUILTY PLEA IN BRONX TEEN-HOOKER RING
Everton Duncan, a 35 year old counselor at a Bronx juvenile detention center, interrupted his trial yesterday to plead guilty to running a prostitution ring that included teenage girls. Duncan, who is from the Bronx, pleaded guilty to four counts of promoting prostitution in the third degree and one count of endangering the welfare of a child. He was an associate juvenile counselor at the Bridges and Horizon Juvenile Detention Centers, formerly called Spofford. Sentencing was set for June 18. He faces a maximum sentence of seven years in prison for promoting prostitution and up to one year on the misdemeanor charge of endangering the welfare of a child.
