LOCAL BOARD REVIEWS ABUSE CASES
The nation's bishops met in Dallas two years ago next month to find a way to restore confidence in their church. As revelations that Catholic priests sexually abused minors for decades in Boston without any punishment reverberated in local dioceses. At that nationally televised meeting, the bishops adopted the Charter for the Protection of Children and Young People which outlined new procedures for handling abuse cases.
