MALVERNE MAN CHARGED IN ONLINE SEX CHATS

James Mireider, a 49 year old Malverne man who carried on raunchy chats online for months with a person he thought was a 14 year old boy, was arrested Friday on sexual indecency charges.  Mireider, of 3440 Church Street, detailed sex acts and arranged a meeting to sex in online exchanges with the person, who was actually an undercover investigator.  Mireider was charged with six counts of attempted disseminating indecent material to a minor and attempted criminal sexual act and ordered held on a $105,000 bond after pleading not guilty.
