May 26—A San Bernardino man was arrested after allegedly making lewd gestures while following a child walking home from school in Chino in his pickup truck, police announced Wednesday, May 25.

The incident happened Monday, May 23, around 4:30 p.m. in the area of Riverside Drive and San Antonio Avenue, the Chino Police Department said. The minor was walking home when she noticed an old Ford truck stopped at the intersection before the truck pulled up alongside her, authorities said.

The driver asked the girl to get into the truck several times as he followed her and also made several lewd gestures towards the girl, according to police.

On Wednesday, May 25, Chino police detectives found the suspect in the 12100 block of Ramona where he was arrested on suspicion of contacting a minor to commit a sex crime, authorities said.
