MOLESTER USES CITY’S LIBRARY COMPUTERS TO PEDDLE KIDPORN

Jack Hornbeck, 45, used the city's main library branch computers to distribute and receive kidporn.  Hornbeck is a child molester.  He was arrested in Van Nuys where he went expecting to meet a family and engage in sexual activity with the children.  He is being held in lieu of $50,000 bail.  He is a registered sex offender and was on probation when he was arrested.  He was first identified in December 1998, when he was located on the Internet operating a child pornography and child sex club.  Using various computers at the main branch of the Los Angeles Public Library he sent numerous child pornographic images to Officer Lisa Miranda who made contact with Hornbeck on the phone and the

Internet.
