NEW JERSEY ‘KID-PERV’ COP NAILED IN ‘NET

Cpl. James R. Davis, a 42 year old decorated police officer, was charged with using the Internet to seek sexual encounters with children.  He was indicted on Thursday on charges of child endangerment, attempted sexual assault and official misconduct.  He has been suspended without pay.  In his job, he also visited schools dressed as McGruff the Crime Dog.  He plans to plead innocent at his arraigned, according to his attorney.  A phone call with a patrol car siren heard in the background was made and e-mails were sent to a detective posing as a 13 year old girl.
