Angel Laporte, a 54 year old registered sex offender from Selden, was arraigned on chargesSunday that he committed multiple cases of public lewdness in Suffolk County during the past ninemonths.  After a woman reported seeing a man performing a lewd at in the Barnes & Noblebookstore on Jericho Turnpike in East Northport, police began investigating.  Laporte is aregistered sex offender in Connecticut and further investigation found that he is a suspect in actsof public lewdness at the Deer Park Public Library on January 5 and the Commack and West BabylonLibraries on May 7, 2012.  New Milford, Connecticut police department also has three warrantsout for Laporte for failing to register as a sex offender.  In Suffolk he is charged with fourcounts of public lewdness.  Bail was set at $40,000 cash or $80,000 in bond.
