Mathy Ray Hardy, a 48 year old Roanoke Rapids man, is facing charges after a reported sexualassault.  A woman reported she was walking down a street in the early morning hours Wednesdaywhen she was approached by a male, who then pushed her into a vacant residence where the victim wassexually assaulted. Hardy was arrested and charged with second degree rape and assault on a female.
