SHIRLEY MAN CHARGED WITH SEXUAL ABUSE OF TEENAGE BOY

Sean Coraggio, a 22 year old Shirley man, who police said at one time was employedas a security guard in two Suffolk County school districts, was arrested early Tuesday and chargedwith multiple criminal sex acts with a minor. Coraggio, of 161 Forrest Avenue, is charged in a29-count indictment with three counts of second-degree criminal sexual act, 13 counts of promotinga sexual performance by a child and other crimes. Coraggio was previously employed as a securityguard in the Longwood and William Floyd school districts, as well as being a contactor at StonyBrook University. It was not clear is any of the acts for which he was charged involved students.Coraggio pleaded not guilty to an indictment charging him with sexually abusing a teenage boy atSmith Haven Mall and separately, sending unsolicited child pornography to men he met online. TheAssistant DA said that in 2012 Coraggio performed several sex acts with a 14 year old boy in amen’s room at the mall.
