SEX OFFENDER CHARGED WITH MURDER, RAPE IN JULY 4 ABDUCTION

Terapon Dang Adhahn, a 42 year old convicted sex offender, was charged Monday with kidnapping,raping and killing 12-year-old Zina Linnik who was snatched away from an alley behind her family'shome during a July Fourth fireworks celebration. According to the charging documents, Adhahn ledinvestigators to her body and his DNA was found on her. She died from a blow to the head. The courtentered a not guilty plea for Adhahn, who is being held on just more than $7 million bail. Duringtheir investigation, detectives said they uncovered two other victims: one who was kidnapped on herway to school in 2000 and another who lived with Adhahn as a teen. Adhahn is charged with rape inthose cases, as well as failing to register as a sex offender. He pleaded not guilty to thosecounts on Thursday. He is also a person of interest in the late 2005 abduction and killing of10-year-old AdreAnna Jackson whose remains were found in a Pierce County field last year. Adhahncame to the United States from Thailand in the 1970s after his mother married a U.S. soldier. hewas convicted of incest in 1990 for raping a 16-year-old female relative and was sentenced to twomonths in jail, plus five years of counseling.
