An Oxnard man was convicted of multiple sex acts against juvenile family members, the Ventura County District Attorney's Office said Thursday.
Salvador Banales, 69, was found guilty of seven counts, with five counts being lewd and lascivious acts upon a child under 14 and two counts upon a child age 14 or 15, according to prosecutors. The jury also found true the special allegations that Banales committed the crimes against multiple victims, engaged in substantial sexual conduct in two cases and that the statute of limitations had been extended, prosecutors said.
The crimes took place between the years of 2005 and 2018, authorities said. Two of the victims are female family members who are now adults, and one female relative who is 12 years old.
Banales is scheduled to be sentenced at 11 a.m. Oct. 11 in Courtroom 14 of Ventura County Superior Court. He faces a maximum sentence of 88 years and eight months to life in state prison.
