CALIFORNIA FUGITIVE WANTED ON CHILD SEX CRIME CHARGES CAUGHT IN OREGON

DAYTON, Ore. – A 51-year-old who was wanted out of California on sex crimes involving a child was arrested Wednesday night in the city of Dayton, Oregon, the Yamhill County Sheriff’s Office said.
Sotero Jose Garcia-Garcia had an open warrant out of San Diego, California for five counts of Lewd or Lascivious Acts with Minor Child under age 14.
The US Marshals Service learned Garcia-Garcia could be staying in Dayton. They notified the sheriff’s office, and deputies found him staying at the Country View Manor on Ferry Street.
Deputies took him into custody at about 8:45 p.m. Wednesday (November 4). He was booked into the Yamhill County Jail with bail set at $1,000,000.
