ARREST IN KIDNAP AND RAPE OF BROOKLYN GIRL

William Davis, a 45 year old Manhattan man, kidnapped a 12 years old Brooklyn girl on Thursday and took her to a Westchester motel where he raped her.  Davis held the girl captive in an Ardsley motel room until Friday when he drove her back to her neighborhood.  He was arrested over the weekend and he was arraigned yesterday.  He entered no plea and was held without bail pending a hearing tomorrow.  Davis' name and address match those a man on the state registry of sex offenders who got six to 12 year in prison in 1991 for sodomizing two girls ages 8 and 10.  Authorities would not confirm if he was the same man.
