ARREST IN WEB STING

Henry J. Groppe, Jr., a 24 year old Holtsville man, has been arrested after he used the popular Craigslist Web site to lure teenage girls to exchange drugs for fun.  Groppe, of 170 Fourth Avenue, was caught in the sting after he placed the ad on the site two weeks ago.  An undercover Garden City police officer posing as a 16 year old girl answered the ad and both arranged to meet to exchange cocaine for sexual acts.  Groppe thought he was meeting the girl and her 15 year old friend.  He is charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell, patronizing a prostitute and two counts of endangering the welfare of a child.
