On February 26, 2001 at 6:30 p.m., the victim was walking home from a laundromat in the area ofAvenue 60 and North Figueroa Street. The suspect approached the victim and brandished a knife. Hewalked along side the victim until they reached Avenue 54 and Monte Vista Street. The suspect thentook the victim to some nearby bushes and sexually assaulted her. Following the assault, thesuspect walked the victim home and provided some personal information.
