Federal prosecutors in the Ghislaine Maxwell trial said Wednesday the British socialite, convicted of helping Jeffrey Epstein sexually abuse girls, should be sentenced to at least 30 to 55 years in prison, reflecting federal sentencing guidelines.

NC sentenced to prison for sex crime involving 3-year-old

YANCEY COUNTY, N.C. (WSPA) – A North Carolina man was sentenced to prison for a sex crime involving a 3-year-old.

According to the Yancey County Sheriff’s Office, Jason Procopio pleaded guilty on May 11 to one count of a first-degree statutory sexual offense.

Deputies said at the time of the crime in July of 2021, Procopio was 18 years old and the victim was 3 years old.

York County man charged with child sex crimes

WARRINGTON TOWNSHIP, Pa. (WHTM) – A York County man has been arrested for multiple felonies relating to child sex crimes.

Gerald Smith II, of Dover, was arrested and charged with three second-degree felony counts of child pornography; one second-degree felony count of dissemination of photos/film of child sex acts; and one first-degree felony charge of photographing, videotaping, depicting on computer or filming sexual acts

Former paramedic gets 40 years for sex crimes

PASCAGOULA, Mississippi — He begged for forgiveness, but in the end there would be none.

James Walley, a 57-year-old former paramedic, was sentenced Monday to 40 years in a Mississippi state prison, without possibility of parole, for the sexual assault of six patients in the back of ambulances, as well as the sexual molestation of two children, ages 6 and 7 at the time of the crimes.

Sex abuse victims describe horrors at notorious California foster care facility

Jonathan Wright’s chest heaved and he began to sob uncontrollably Thursday, June 9, while clutching a tiny white T-shirt emblazoned with the name of the MacLaren Children’s Center, a notorious and now closed foster care facility in El Monte at the center of a new lawsuit alleging decades of horrific child abuse by staff members.
