Woman charged with sexually abusing young boy

ELKINS, W.Va. – West Virginia State Police have charged a woman in Randolph County with sexual abuse, following accusations of inappropriate sexual behavior involving a young child.

In October 2021, the young victim was interviewed by workers at the Randolph County Child Advocacy Center, where he described being abused by Tara Jo Martin, 34.

In May 2022, state troopers interviewed Martin, who admitted to inappropriately touching the boy, on two occasions, starting when the child was two years old, according to court documents.

Man sentenced to 15 years in prison for sex trafficking crimes committed in Pittsburgh

A man has been sentenced to 15 years in prison for sex trafficking crimes he committed in Pittsburgh.

According to a statement from the Department of Justice, 23-year-old Anthony Juskowich was convicted in federal court for sex trafficking crimes.

Prosecutors say that Juskowich began grooming a woman in Dececember 2019 in Alabama. He and the woman later moved to Pittsburgh and stayed in Oakland. He attempted sex trafficking crimes in Georgia before the move.

Disney Channel star Stoney Westmoreland sentenced for trying to arrange sex with 13-year-old

“Andi Mack” alum Stoney Westmoreland has been sentenced to two years in prison after pleading down to a lesser charge after being accused of trying to lure a minor into sex.

Westmoreland, who played the grandfather on the Disney Channel sitcom, pleaded guilty to a lesser charge of using interstate facilities to transmit information about a minor and was slapped with 24 months in prison and 10 years of supervised release, rather than the 10 years in prison he was initially facing, TMZ reported Sunday.

Man sentenced up to 32 years following the sexual assault of an 8-year-old

On June 3, a judge sentenced Heriberto Montanez, 44, to 16 – 32 years in a state correction institution with a five year probation to follow.

A Dauphin County jury convicted Heriberto Montanez, 43, on March 9 after a three day trail for involuntary deviate sexual intercourse with a child under the age of 13, unlawful contact with a minor, indecent assault of a child under the age of 13, and corruption of minors.

Vallejo man, 46, found guilty of child sex crimes, faces 42 years to life

Jun. 1—A Solano County Superior Court jury on Wednesday found a 46-year-old Vallejo man guilty of multiple child sex crimes on a child under 14.

Enrique Mejia-Picazo, who was charged with two counts of aggravated sexual assault of a child under the age of 14 and one count of continuous sexual abuse of a child under 14, faces as much as 42 years to life in state prison when sentenced in the coming days.

CHARGED: Belington man gets ride for sex with teen girl

BUCKHANNON, W.Va. – A Barbour County man has been charged after arranging a ride to Upshur County for sex with a minor.

On June 1, a man arranged to meet with an individual he presumed to be a 14-year-old girl at a location in Upshur County, according to a criminal complaint.

The man, identified as Robert Shahan, 36, of Belington, “described sexual acts he wanted to perform” with the individual he assumed to be a 14-year-old female, and also sent explicit photos of himself, officers with the Buckhannon Police Department
