California Man Captured in France on Campus Sexual Assault Charges Waives Hearing in Pennsylvania

GETTYSBURG, Pa. —  A Saratoga, Calif., man extradited from France to face charges in a 2013 campus sexual assault case has waived his right to a pretrial hearing in Pennsylvania.

Ian Cleary, 32, will remain in custody until a formal arraignment in Gettysburg set for March 18. He is accused of stalking a woman at Gettysburg College, sneaking into her dorm and sexually assaulting her.

A Wyandanch man is facing charges after trying to lure a girl into his car, police say.

News 12 is told it happened in Wyandanch on Patton Avenue near 26th Street.

Police say it was just after 3 p.m. Monday when Galo Macasfreire stopped his car and asked the 11-year-old girl to get in.
