A former veteran parole officer claims her agency deliberately mishandled the cases of high-risk sex offenders to appease the governor’s woke mandate to reduce the prison population and those under state supervision.

Rita Flynn, 67, worked for the Department of Corrections and Community Supervision for 42 years, eight spent managing cases of criminals convicted of depraved sex crimes.

A Long Island man who is a registered sex offender has been sentenced for sexually abusing a child while he was out on parole.

Paris Fyall, age 37, of Medford and formally of Coram, was sentenced on Friday, March 10 to 25 years to life in prison for repeatedly sexually abusing the child over a four-and-a-half-month period.

Bill aims to relieve homelessness service burden on “regional hub” communities

CONCORD — Returning for a third attempt at becoming a law, members of the N.H. House of Representatives Criminal Justice and Public Safety Committee heard a bill on Wednesday that would provide additional employment restrictions for registered sex offenders.

The bill’s prime sponsor, Kevin Verville, R-Deerfield, brought the bill back at the urging of a constituent after it passed the House with amendment in 2020 and 2022 only to die in the Senate both times. Alleged Rapist Arrested and Charged

Jamel McIver, 30, of 239 East 121st Street, was arrested and charged with the rape of a 21-year-old woman in the stairwell of a West 65th Street building on Saturday, March 4 at 1:20 a.m., the NYPD announced.

McIver was arrested on Sunday, March 5, at 4 p.m., and also charged with Burglary: Sexually Motivated, and a Criminal Sex Act. Former Mamakating highway superintendent sentenced for sexual conduct against child

GOSHEN – Former Mamakating Town Highway Superintendent Robert Hufcut was sentenced in Orange County Court on Tuesday to 22 years in state prison followed by 20 years of post-release supervision in connection with a sex offender
