BRITTNI NICOLE COLLEPS, TEXAS TEACHER, FOUND GUILTY AFTER GROUP SEX WITH 5 STUDENTS

Brittni Nicole Colleps, a 27 year old married mother of three, was arrested in 2011 forallegedly having sex with five students during an orgy at her home.  Colleps, an Englishteacher and girls’ basketball coach, invited the boys to her home for the sex romp and theencounter was filmed on their cell phones.  Her husband was away overseas duty serving withthe US military.  She is facing up to 10 years in jail after being charged with five felonycounts of inappropriate relationships between a student and a teacher.  All five of the teensinvolved were 18 years of age or older but Texas law prohibits sex between a teacher and a student,regardless of the student's age.  There were also sexually explicit photos and text messagesbetween the teacher and one of the students.
Colleps, now 28, was convicted August 17 and sentenced to five years in prison.
