A family in Texas is seeking justice after a 15-year-old girl rescued from sex traffickers committed suicide over the weekend.

Letty Serrano, who was abducted in 2017, locked herself in a bathroom at the family’s Houston home and killed herself Saturday, FOX 26 Houston reported. Her father, Mariano Serrano, told the station how he had desperately tried to reach her before it was too late.

A Florida man was arrested after he allegedly raped a 10-year-old girl he met through Snapchat, investigators said.

Austin Altman, 22, drove to pick up the child in nearby Hernando County on Saturday and drove her back to his home in Spring Hill, according to an arrest report from the Pasco County Sheriff’s Office.

So-called camouflage rapist Troy Johnson has been handed a 28-year prison sentence for abducting then sexually assaulting a 12-year-old schoolgirl on the NSW Central Coast.

NSW District Court Judge David Wilson said the mechanic and father-of-three had engaged in “truly evil conduct”.

Wilson, who lifted the suppression order on naming Johnson, said the girl “was truly a victim of the detestable conduct of the perverted offender”.

Johnson was jailed for 28 years with a minimum of 21 years.
