A Lompoc man was arrested Tuesday on suspicion of multiple sex crimes following a two-week investigation by the Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Office, a spokeswoman said.
Benito Rodriguez Bravo, 34, was taken into custody on suspicion of committing six felony crimes in addition to a warrant for his arrest for probation violation and domestic violence and was being held without bail, said sheriff’s spokeswoman Raquel Zick.

TULSA, Oklahoma – Two Green Country men entered guilty pleas to child sex crimes in federal court. Their arrests were part of Operation Independence Day, a sting operation targeting child predators.
Carnell Lovette Matthews, a Tulsa resident, pleaded guilty to receipt of child pornography. U.S. Attorney Trent Shores said Matthews admitted he used his smart phone to persuade a minor to send him sexually explicit photographs. He also tried to persuade the victim to meet him to have sex.

LOUISA COUNTY, V.A. (WVIR) – The man accused of kidnapping a Louisa County teenager back in October is facing eight more charges.

Bruce William Lynch Junior appeared in Louisa Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court Monday, November 25. The 34-year-old man had been facing one count of felony abduction, and was already denied bond at the beginning of the month.

A two-day human trafficking and prostitution sting operation in the Kansas City, Mo., area last week led to 21 arrests — including a suspect police say held a woman and her child hostage in their home for months, according to federal immigration authorities and a local report.

SALT LAKE CITY (KUTV) — The Salt Lake City Police Department recently arrested 21 sex offenders who were out of compliance with court orders and registry requirements. Many hadn’t updated their address.
