CHESTERFIELD, Va. (WWBT) – A Chesterfield County parent says she did some “mom investigating” to discover that a fifth grade teacher is in jail after being charged in another county with sex crimes against a minor.

Ashley Cimburke says she received a letter on Friday that Richard O’Brien would be out for an extended time at Reams Elementary School.

Cimburke then discovered that O’Brien was facing the charge of proposing a sex act by a communication device to a child under 15 in King and Queen County.

A Bridger man was sentenced Wednesday to 120 years in prison in Carbon County District Court for crimes related to sexual abuse of a minor and raping a woman.
Gene Deveraux, 56, was convicted in July of six felonies : thee counts of sexual assault without consent, two counts of incest and one of sexual assault, according to Carbon County Attorney Alex Nixon. He will likely be eligible for parole in 25 years, when he is 81 years old.
Judge Matthew Wald sentenced Deveraux to a total of 450 years

VERNON, CT (WFSB) – A second person was arrested in connection with a child molestation case.
According to Vernon police, Dianne Margelony, 53, encouraged a witness to lie to police and refused to cooperate with the investigation.
Police arrested her boyfriend, 50-year-old Ronald Daniel, over the summer on four counts of first-degree sexual assault, among other offenses.
They said he sexually molested a child on several occasions in Vernon.
Vernon police said their investigation was a joint one with the Department of Children and Families, state police and Homeland Security.

An Uber driver sexually assaulted a female passenger while she was being sick out of the door of his minicab.
Temur Shah, 45, collected the 27-year-old woman in the West End of London in the early hours of the morning and insisted she sat in the front seat.
When she told him she was going to be sick, he stopped the car and groped her while leaning over her to open the passenger door. He then continued to sexually assault her as she leaned out to vomit.

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – An Indianapolis priest who was suspended earlier this year now faces three felony counts related to a sex abuse case involving a minor.
The Rev. David Marcotte is charged with child solicitation, vicarious sexual gratification and dissemination of matter harmful to minors, according to court records.
The Archdiocese of Indianapolis confirmed the charges against Marcotte, who was suspended in February 2019 after a report of sexual abuse involving a minor from 2016 came to light. The archdiocese said it notified authorities as well as the chair
