To add additional sex crimes to registerable offenses under the Sex Offender Registration Act

Summary

Parents For Megan’s Law, the nation’s largest Megan’s Law Advocacy organization strongly supports the above referenced legislation.  If written into law this bill would require that individuals convicted of these additional sex offenses and sexually violent offenses be compelled to register under the provisions of the Sex Offender Registration Act.  

Amber’s Law, named for 9 year old Amber Hagerman of Texas, imposes a life-without-parole sentence for the murder of a child under 14 during a sexual assault, imposed on repeat offenders.
