SHIRLEY MAN ACCUSED OF ABUSING GIRL

Gary Meenahan, a 45 year old Shirley man who until recently had been homeless, is charged with third-degree sexual abuse, second-degree attempted criminal sexual act and criminal impersonation after he went into a trailer on an abandoned property on Mastic Beach Road and sexually abused a 14 year old girl.  For about the next three hours Meenahan kept the girl inside the trailer, only letting her free when she convinced him she needed to get on the 2:15 p.m. bus home from school.  The girl skipped school to hang out
