SINGAPORE – The police will set up a new command, which aims to provide victims of sexual crime and family violence with more support, by 2023.

The Sexual Crime and Family Violence Command will be staffed by police officers who have specialized expertise in handling sexual crime and family violence cases and who possess good victim management skills.

CLEVELAND — Thirty-one people, ranging in age from 20 to 80 years old, were arrested as part of “Operation Deja Vu,” an undercover operation led by the Ohio Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force and the Cuyahoga County Prosecutor’s Office.

A bipartisan bill seeks to mandate child sexual abuse and sexual violence prevention education in Ohio schools.
The bill was introduced this week, and requires “age-appropriate instruction” in child sexual abuse prevention for students in kindergarten through sixth grade. The education would include resources and available counseling for children who are sexually abused.
For grades seven through 12, sexual violence prevention education would be implemented. Education would be provided for teachers and staff as part of in-service training.
