COMPLAINT FILED AGAINST FAMILY COURT JUDGE, WHO IS REASSIGNED

Judge Andrew Tarantino, Jr., a Suffolk judge, is the object of a formalcomplaint by Parents for Megan's Law and the Crime Victims Center, a child victim advocacy groupalleging he made sarcastic comments and joked about child porn during a family court hearing overvisitation rights for a convicted sex offender. The complaint filed Tuesday with the stateCommission on Judicial Conduct alleges that Tarantino showed blatant disregard for the facts andimproper demeanor during a hearing last spring. That hearing was related to an ongoingfamily court dispute between a 29 year old mother of three and her ex-husband, Dennis DeMille, whowas convicted or rape and possessing child porn in 2008.
