COP GUILTY IN RAPE OF GIRLQUEENS MAN WAS HER TUTOR

Harry Velasquez, 28, a police officer, was convicted yesterday of raping and sodomizing a 12 year old girl.  Velasquez, who tutored the girl for a year was found guilty of rape, sex abuse, sodomy and endangering the welfare of a child during two instances in his Richmond Hill home during July 1996.  The girl alleged that sexual incidents occurred from July 1996 to June 1997.
