EUCLID POLICE OFFICER INDICTED FOR ALLEGED SEX CRIMES, CHARGES INCLUDE ATTEMPTED RAPE. The indictment alleges crimes against a juvenile.

The Euclid Police Department received a complaint on Nov. 8, 2020, against Euclid Police Officer Donald Ivory. The complaint alleged criminal wrongdoing involving a minor child that happened while Officer Ivory was off-duty and not acting under the scope of his employment with the Euclid Police Department.

The Euclid Police Department immediately initiated a criminal investigation, ordered by Euclid Police Chief Scott Meyer. Officer Ivory was placed on paid administrative leave while the investigation took place.

Euclid police detectives conducted and completed the investigation and on Friday, Feb. 26, 2021, a Euclid detective presented the findings to a Cuyahoga County Grand Jury.

The Cuyahoga County Grand Jury indicted Officer Donald Ivory on these seven counts: One count of Attempted Rape, three counts of Gross Sexual Imposition, one count of Disseminating Matter Harmful to Juveniles, one count of Tampering with Evident and one count of Intimidation of a Victim.

Ivory has been placed on unpaid administrative leave. The case will be handled by the Cuyahoga County Prosecutor's Office.
