EX-TEACHER PLEADS GUILTY IN STUDENT SEX CASE

Angela Renee Comer, a 28 year old former teacher, is charged with having sex with a 14 yearold middle school student and running off to Mexico with him.  She pleaded guilty Wednesday toa sodomy charge.  Comer would serve 10 years in prison under her plea agreement in which theprosecutor agreed to drop most other charges.  Besides one count of third degree sodomy, shepleaded guilty to one count of custodial interference.  Comer said she expects to be eligiblefor parole after serving 24 months of the sentence and said she also will be required to complete asex offender treatment program that takes from 12 to 18 months.  She has been in jail for the16 months since her arrest.
