FORMER FORT OGLETHORPE MAN SENTENCED FOR DOWNLOADING CHILD PORN FROM THE INTERNET

David Ray Kelly, a 67 year old man from Kennesaw, Georgia, was sentenced today by US District Judge Harold L. Murphy on charges of receiving child pornography in interstate commerce by downloading it from the internet.  Kelly was sentenced to 3 years, 10 months in federal prison to be followed by 3 years of supervised release.  He pleaded guilty to these charges on November 21, 2005.  Kelly moved from Fort Oglethorpe after his conviction and now lives in Kennesaw.
