MAN GETS 25 YEARS TO LIFE FOR SEX ASSAULT OF GIRL

Wilbur Wright, Jr., a 46 year old Yaphank man convicted of sexually abusing a young girlover a two-year span, was sentenced Friday to 25 years to life in prison.  He was convicted ofpredatory sexual assault of a child and the use of a child in a sexual performance.  Thesexual assaults began in September 2006 when the girl was 10 years old and ended in August2008.  Wright was also sentenced to 7 1/2 to 15 years in prison for the crime of the use of achild in a sexual performance.  The sentences will run concurrently.  An order ofprotection was issued barring Wright from having any contact with the girl.
