MISSING GIRL IS FOUND IN BRONX

Shaina Schwarzman, a 16 year old developmentally disabled girl, was found in the Bronx Thursday night after a regionwide search, almost three weeks after she went missing.  Her relatives joined Laura Ahearn, the executive director of Parents for Megan's Law, at the group's Stony Brook headquarters.  Ahearn, whose group assisted with the search, said the teen is safe and sound now, but that someone may face charges in connection with the case.  It appears, unfortunately, that she is a victim of a crime, Ahearn said, declining to say the nature of the crime.  She said Nassau County and New York City police are investigating the case.  The teen was reported missing May 8 when she didn't come home from Farmingdale High School on the school bus.
