David Chappel, a 42 year old emergency medical technician from Connecticut, was arrested on Long Island for arranging to have sex with what he thought was a 14 year old boy he met on the Internet.  On Thursday evening, Chappel arrived for the Hicksville rendezvous with a laptop computer and a digital video camera but his date turned out to be a detective who arrested him.  He has been charged with possession of child pornography on his computer, promoting an obscene sexual performance by a child and two counts of disseminating indecent material to a minor.
