POLICE: MAN MOLESTED TWO

Syad Ahmed, a 50 year old Centereach man, was arrested yesterday for molesting two teenage boysin the parking lot of the Centereach Mall. Ahmed was charged with two counts of forcible touchingand two counts of endangering the welfare of a child. He was being held last night and wasscheduled to be arraigned today. Police said he enticed a 15 and a 16 year old to get into his carabout 10:15 a.m. while it was parked at the rear of Centereach High School property. He drove themto the mall lot where he placed his hands on the boys' genitals. The two boys fled the car andcalled their guardians and notified authorities. Police asked that anyone with information aboutthis or similar incidents call Sixth Squad detectives at 631-854-8652.
