TEXAS:  TEXAS SEX OFFENDER LAW’S CONSEQUENCES STUDIED

Most people agree that the public should keep tabs on many convicted sex offenders, such as, child molesters, serial rapists and people who use weapons, violence, or threats while committing a sex offense.  But Arlington therapist Jeff Clark questions whether it is appropriate to treat all sex offenders the same.  Some of the concerns involve cases of statutory rape in which the sex was consensual, cases in which the offender is a juvenile and cases involving a victim who is related to the offender.
